These headliners have been awarded B quality because they are not equal to the original, they have been adapted for easy assembly and designed to fit into a whole series of years of construction. This was made possible by adjusting the number of headliner bows (the number does not necessarily have to correspond to what was originally fitted) and the parts around the windows have fewer seams.
The advantage of this headliner over the A-quality headliner is the ease of assembly, but this is still a difficult task for which a lot of time has to be set aside.
If you want a headliner equal to the original, take quality A, not only for the perfect fit but also because the vinyl used is of better quality.
If your Volkswagen Beetle is equipped with a metal sunroof, take the sunroof headliner, this material is also good to use for repairs or if you want more headliner than what is provided.
The headliner is that of the Deluxe versions, which means that in addition to the roof section, the sides of the B-pillar, the rear side window frames and the section around the rear window are also covered.
If you own a basic VW Beetle model (only the roof is covered) and you want to mount a Deluxe headliner, keep in mind that the roof is not made for this, you will have to mount a few extra strips.
Don't forget to order spray glue, this is the only type of glue that is suitable for this purpose. If the damping felt stuck to the roof is digested, order it immediately.
