This retaining strip was used on the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, VW Bus and VW Thing for the rubber that closes the gap between the engine sheet metal and the bodywork.
This part is located underneath the car, which is usually not covered with a protective coating, so that weather influences are free to run their course. Often, after sanding, only a few traces of these guides remain, so that their replacement is the only possible option.
The retaining strip mentioned here is for the side and has a length of 355 mm, it can be cut to the right length if necessary.
If you also need the back part, it is available fully preformed, look under the related parts tab.
A small piece of this retaining strip was used on the VW Type 3 to hold the boot lid support rubber, which was only used for one year.
