Our Volkswagens are frequently used at off-road events where conditions are difficult.
The Volkswagens are extremely strong but are not built for extreme work, for which reinforcements are necessary. These front axle reinforcements were copied from the Volkswagen Thing, which was equipped with a similar system out of the factory, and ensure that the front axle can withstand the high forces that are released in off-road races.
The upper brace is clamped around the upper front axle tube on one side and against the body on the other. The lower reinforcement is clamped around the lower front axle tube and to the underside of the chassis with the bolts that secure the heater channels.
Mounting hardware is not provided, you will have to do it yourself, and you will need to provide space under the head of the chassis for proper placement. It is also necessary to drill holes in the body for the top brace.
