Our Volkswagens are full of screws, bolts, nuts and washers that are not all made for a particular model, but are universally used.
These parts are recognizable by the part number beginning with the "N" of the German word Normteile, which means "standard parts".
It may be a standard particle, but that does not mean that it is still readily available today. This is why many parts in our range, whose VW number starts with the "N", are manufactured specially by us or for us.
The serrated spring washers listed here have a lock from the inside and are identical to the original in appearance and material.
Below is a list, by VW model, of the reasons why these bolts are used and the total number of parts required.
