These bolts have a specific length of 102 mm, which is not a standard size and therefore cannot be found in the hardware store shelves. In addition, they are green passivated, which guarantees better corrosion resistance than when they were only electrolytically galvanized.
These bolts were used for the assembly of the shock absorbers on the roof of the Volkswagen Bay Window Bus and for the assembly of the subframe of the VW Vanagon with diesel engine.
