air filter thermostat The preheating of the fresh air supplied via the air filter to the carburettor is a part of our VW engine that gets too little attention. This system will ensure that in all weather conditions the carburettor is supplied with air at the right temperature. With these younger air filter models you don't have to adjust anything in contrast to the older models.
mixture preheating The engine is stopped as a result of poor combustion. This bad combustion is often caused by a, at that moment, wrong composition of the fuel in the cylinders. Because of this bad combustion, the engine does not deliver the desired power and you can feel this in the form of stuttering of the engine.
