The USA Volkswagen Beetles with injection produced since 1976 have a different heat exchanger with a separate control box, which is integrated in the heat exchanger in all other models and years of construction. Once the heat exchangers need to be replaced, these control boxes will have had their best time and are replaced frequently. These control boxes are the same as the type 4 engines that were used for the Swedish market until 1979. For the type 4 engines which are used in the VW Vanagon, the way of mounting the control cables is different, these control boxes are the same for all countries. They are delivered per side.
The control boxes of the Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Bus for the Swedish market are supplied with a heating cable mounting kit. For VW Vanagon control boxes you have to order the mounting kit separately (options tab), of which you use only the mounting bolt.
