This push rod is located under the fuel pump and is the link between the engine and the fuel pump.
If the fuel pump suddenly jams, it may deform the pump drive shaft and you must replace it. For type 1 and type 3 engines, always check the length of your existing rod, it may happen that another year of construction of the fuel pump has been fitted. Type 4 fuel pump rods were only one length.
Caution : The rod must be able to move smoothly in the fuel pump holder. If the axle cannot move smoothly in the holder, the holder must be cleaned with a soft file, because when the engine warms up, the axle may jam and the fuel pump will no longer be driven.
