In the case of the Volkswagen Beetle, protective panels (also known as kick panels) are placed under the rear seat to complete the space. On the Volkswagen Bus, these panels are located under the dashboard and have the same function.
They are not called "kick panels" for nothing, they are quite low and the probability of you hitting them when you enter is very high, because of this they are often damaged.
In the original Volkswagen Beetle panels are plastic rings that serve as a finish for the heating outlets, these are not included, you will have to transfer them from your old panels.
The kickboards for the VW Buses from 1960 to 1962 are made of hardboard with a gray texture which is similar to the original from that time. The models from 1964 on are more luxurious, they are also made of hardboard but now covered with a black vinyl.
