A radio has always been an additional option for Volkswagen, but most models have been prepared to accept a radio. The radio's location was closed with a separate shielding panel. In most VWs, this panel has been removed to make way for the radio.
If you don't want a radio or if you have mounted it out of sight, here is the panel that is the same as the one your Volkswagen left the factory with at the time.
Note : If you want to mount a decorative moulding on the panel, as was the case with the Beetle from 1958 to 1967, you will need to drill three additional holes for the mounting clips. The fittings and clips are listed under the options tab.
