The combination of a standard 5-hole brake set with dropped spindles is not possible. Due to the high demand for this combination, a brand new set of 5-hole disc brakes has been developed with 5-hole discs with 6.7 cm dropped spindles.
The set consists of:
- dropped spindles
- 5 hole discs with PCD 205 mm
- brake calipers with brake pads
- wheel bearings and retaining rings -
hub washers and nuts
- brake hoses
- mounting material
This single-disc brake set combines comfortable lowering and better (safer) braking performance using popular Volkswagen 5-hole rims.
Note: Please note that the total width of the track will increase by approximately 16 mm. If you also need to mount discs at the rear, it is also necessary to replace your brake master cylinder with a higher efficiency cylinder (see the options tab). For cars between the construction years 8.1965 and 1968 (up to Beetle VIN 118 857 239 and Karmann Ghia VIN 148 857 239 ) you must use tierods from after the listed VIN, these are listed on the options tab.
Note : At the factory, the brake calipers are dry assembled, so make sure the calipers are lubricated with brake cylinder paste (listed in the options tab). If you forget this, one caliper will not work as well as the other and you may notice differences in brake pressure. Also, make sure that the bleed fittings are facing up, regardless of which side the bracket is marked for. Failure to do so can result in problems with bleeding.
