Dismantling

The disassembly will not be 2

usually goes quite easy. How-

ever, we will give some tips to

avoid damaging reusable parts.

Hold down springs

The hold down springs are diffi-

cult to remove without the right
technique and tools. On the

right (pictures 2 and 3) we show

an example of a tool that makes

disassembling and reassembling
the metal retainers of the lock-

ing springs very easy.

If you don't want to look for such

a tool, or you don't want to wait,

we show you how to do it with-
out special tools. 3

Always replace left and right

brake shoes together!
