Our Volkswagens are full of screws, bolts, nuts and washers that are not all designed for a particular model, but are universally used.
These parts are identified by the part number starting with the "N" of Normteile (standard parts).
One might think that these standard parts can be found in all hardware stores, but Volkswagen has not made it easy, they may be standard parts produced in series for various applications, but most of them are not very common and are therefore not on the hardware shelves.
It may be a standard part, but that does not mean that it is still available today. This is why many parts in our range whose VW number begins with the "N" are manufactured specially by us or for us.
The M5 hexagonal bolts mentioned here are made of stainless steel or an improvement over the original, rust is a thing of the past. If you want the head to look like chrome, you can polish it to a shiny finish, which is not possible with a galvanized bolt without rust taking over.
