The Single Tip exhaust has a single chrome outlet that exits on the right side at the bottom of the rear panel. That's what made the Single Tip popular among cal-look enthusiasts. The sound is much heavier than the original but still acceptable.
Sporty exhausts
Alongside the standard exhaust system, there are numerous sporty exhausts that produce a heavier sound and give the Volkswagen Beetle a sportier rear-end look. When fitting one of these exhausts, you get the impression that there is a more powerful engine at the rear, while only the exhaust has been replaced. All sport exhaust systems have better exhaust gas circulation, which translates into more power. When fitting one of these sports exhausts, you will notice that the spacer that connects the fan shroud to the heat exchanger is no longer present (except for sports and conventional exhausts). To continue connecting the fan shroud to the heat exchanger, take an aluminum pipe (01095) and connect it directly to the heat exchanger. All sport exhaust systems are delivered without mounting kit (01000, 03203 or 01159), you need to add some extra accessories, these exhausts are black paint with chrome end. For most mufflers, the black paint is only intended to prevent rusting in the warehouse. If you want to keep the exhaust black, let all the paint come off and then treat it with a heat resistant paint.
