It often happens that when removing the front shock absorber from the Volkswagen Beetle or the Karmann Ghia of 8.1965 and later, the metal bushing gets stuck on the support arm and has to be ground carefully. This corrosion can also be the case with bolted shock absorbers, although this is less frequent in practice.
In most cases you will replace the complete shock absorber, but if not, you can also replace the bushing and the rubber separately (indicated under the options tab).
For the torsion bar it is more or less the same; rust or loss is usually the reason why a replacement is necessary.
Comment on the application:
For the rear shock absorbers of the Volkswagen Beetles, Karmann Ghia,Type 3 and VW Thing, these bushings can only be used if your car is equipped with swing axles. The dimensions of the bushes are mentioned in addition, please measure them before ordering.
With the torsion bar, they apply from chassis number 119 381 001 for the Volkswagen Beetles and chassis number 149 381 001 for the Karmann Ghia.
