The throttle cable runs through a metal tube in the chassis tunnel. Once outside, it transforms into a flexible outer cable whose length can vary according to the year of manufacture, as is also the case for the inner cable.
The outer cable is attached at one end to the metal tube protruding from the chassis, and at the other end to the gas pedal cable transit tube running through the cooling tunnel.
There must be no visible damage, otherwise moisture can penetrate, leading to corrosion and, sooner or later, breakage of the inner cable.
