In Split Bus passenger cars, the rear side windows have always been equipped with single or multiple pop-out windows to provide cooling for passengers during the summer months.
For the Karmann Ghia, they were used as standard from 1960, while it was an additional option for the Beetle and the type 3. This option was quite expensive at the time, so it was not often chosen as an additional option in the coldest regions of the world, but mainly ordered on models where the temperature was often above 20 degrees Celsius.
Nowadays, pop-out windows appear much more often, many have replaced their closed windows with the pop-out version, not to pamper the rear passengers but to give the car a richer equipment.
For the Volkswagen Beetle, there are complete pop-out kits with all the parts you need (see the Related parts tab), while for the Karmann Ghia and the Bus, the different parts are available separately.
This is also the case for locks, for most models they are new. Delivered without assembly material or rubber parts, please add them if necessary.
