Very early on, the Beetle was equipped with small windows, known as vent windows, which allowed the warm air from the car to be drawn in without causing noise or annoying draughts.
With the ageing of the Beetle, the vent windows are not spared either, rust is the biggest enemy and despite the fact that there are several spare parts available (see the Replacement Parts tab) it is not always possible to restore your vent windows to their original condition. The part mentioned here offers the solution, it is complete and can be assembled directly without having to carry out hours of restoration work, which in many cases does not give the desired result.
The new vent windows are equipped with a stainless steel glass frame with a choice of chrome or black powder coating. The frame is made of aluminium and the support is also chrome plated or powder-coated in black.
Due to the choice of materials, a vent window has been created that has surpassed the original, even if your Beetle will still exist for more than 50 years, your vent window will no longer have to be replaced.
The chrome versions apply to luxury and all export models, the black versions mainly apply to the simplest versions and special editions such as the Jeans Bug.
Note : As in the past at the VW factory, a new vent window must be adjusted shortly after installation in the door.
