As time goes by, very few Volkswagen Buses are still running with the original factory mirrors. In most cases, they have already been replaced or are in dire need of replacement, with rust being the main problem. Fortunately, there are plenty of options for installing the mirrors that best suit your needs.
The mirrors for the Volkswagen Split Bus are not available as a complete part, you order the mirror separately from the arm. You can choose between the standard mirror arms painted in grey or the mirror arms in stainless steel polished to perfection. The latter is even available in a reinforced version, the so-called "Harp" model.
In addition to the mirror arm, you will probably need mirrors, which you can find in the options tab. If you want to have a better view to the rear, you can opt for the so-called "elephant ears" mirrors, which you can find under the "alternatives" tab.
Additional information stainless steel:
We recommend that you thoroughly clean all stainless steel parts with a stainless steel cleaner immediately after assembly (refer to the Options tab). It is not the stainless steel that rusts but the swirling iron particles that are created by grinding and sanding. In addition, stainless steel is not resistant to chlorine and can cause a rust reaction if it comes into contact with blossoms of some trees or shrubs. Even in this situation, you polish the stainless steel completely clean again with stainless steel cleaner.
