To limit the inclination of the engine with the gearbox, the front gearbox bracket extends into the chassis. This system was used from 1961 to 1972 when, from 1961 to 1965, a loose rubber in the chassis was used, after which it was integrated into the gearbox bracket.
This loose rubber must be in good condition, if it is missing or partially disintegrated, the gearbox bracket will no longer have a support and will push it too far, so that the gearbox bracket will detach from the vulcanized rubber.
Be careful and always replace the rubber at the same time as the gearbox bracket, if you do not, there is a good chance that you will have to start working again in the foreseeable future. It goes without saying that the guarantee on the gearbox support can only be given if this rubber has been replaced at the same time.
