The camshaft is an important part of the engine and is therefore very well studied during engine tuning. The camshaft determines in which area the maximum torque is reached and up to which speed range the power can be increased. Thanks to the wide choice, there is a camshaft adapted to each type of engine adjustment.
All camshafts are supplied without camshaft gear, always to be ordered separately (camshafts for type 4 engines are delivered with mounting hardware). For each camshaft, the specifications, make and type designation used by the manufacturer are indicated.
When mounting a new camshaft, it is very important to install new lifters, i. e. those recommended by the manufacturer. If it is not possible to prove that the lifters recommended by the manufacturer have been used, there is no form of warranty possible, always order them together with a new camshaft (see Options tab).
Note: Camshafts for type 1, type 3 and CT/CZ engines must use a type 1 oil pump up to and including 7/1971, recognizable by the installation depth of 46-47 mm. Check and add the pump of your choice if necessary (see the Options tab).
