The first 3-point seat belt was developed by Volvo in 1959, and to this day we still use the same design, although it has been developed over the years.
Since January 1971, belts have been mandatory in the Netherlands, provided they are present. If you have an older model without belts, you do not have to install belts, but we recommend it.
The 3-point belt mentioned here is equipped with a retractor that ensures that the belt is securely attached and does not swing in your car. Naturally with European approval and available in several colors to combine with the rest of the interior.
All belts replace the original for the specified years of construction, if you have a car from an older year of construction, please add the adapters (see options tab).
On the Volkswagen Beetle and Bus, the seat belt is mounted on the original mounting bracket. If you no longer have them, order them in addition (see the option tab).
Be careful: The belt mechanism must be mounted straight, otherwise it remains locked and cannot be unrolled. Many people also try to remove the belt from its unassembled cassette, locking it directly (unless it is held exactly straight). Install the belt first straight and only then test it is the only way to work.
