Pop-out rear side windows are a factory option often provided by Volkswagen in the 1960s, but were also available as an option in the 1970s. With the Karmann Ghia coupé, this was the norm from the 1960 model year onwards.
New hinges are available for this purpose to ensure that the assembly is correctly hinged again.
The hinge of the Volkswagen Split Bus is made of stainless steel, which rules out rust formation in the future.
