When adjusting your carburetor(s), which is preferably done on a power bench, you will in most cases need to adjust the nozzle or jet allocation to get the most power out of your engine.
For the most common types of Weber/EMPI, Dellorto and Solex/Brosol carburetors, there is a wide range of jets. If the correct size is not included, you can always adjust your existing jets or an approaching jet using a reamer.
Control is the key word for success, never assume that what is indicated on the packaging is also correct, in everything you do you are performing a control. This also applies to the mounting of the jets, you must check the size before mounting them, not only what is written on them but also measure them with a gauge.
Note :
The size indicated on the nozzle or jet is the full size, half sizes are not indicated. If you ordered a 127.5 jet, for example, it is marked on the jet as 127. Only by measuring can you verify that the size corresponds to the order, in this case 127.5.
