It is necessary to clean or replace the oil screen at each maintenance. Many Type 1 and Type 3 engines do not have a drain plug, so the oil must be drained by unscrewing the cover, which is almost impossible without spilling oil.
This complete set is equipped with a sump plate with drain plug so that the oil can be drained cleanly. This drain bolt is also equipped with a magnet that prevents iron filings from being pumped into the engine block along with the oil, thus preventing enormous engine damage. The drain plug is very handy for draining the oil but there is no reason not to clean the strainer, keep this in mind. If the drain plug is not the reason to buy a new housing cover, the original has been damaged and is therefore no longer watertight.
This complete kit is delivered with the sump plate, drain plug, gaskets, cap nuts and oil screen.
If you don't need a complete set, all parts are also available separately, look under the replacement parts tab.
