The shock absorber contributes to good roadholding, with poor shock absorbers the car skids at every turn or bump on the road, so it is very important that your car is equipped with good shock absorbers.
Check the operation of the shock absorbers by pushing on the bodywork (the vehicle should not swing too much) and check that there is no oil leakage along the shock absorbers. If they are worn, always replace both sides at the same time to maintain optimal handling and safety.
Please note! Shock absorbers that are mounted in a hole, have a metal bushing that is pressed into the rubber. When disassembling the old shock absorbers, they sometimes want to stick to the support arm or the mounting bolt (rusted in place) so that the new shock absorber does not seem to fit. Remove these first before mounting the new shock absorber.
