If you don't do it for the ease of filling the engine oil and the improved cap lock, you'll do it for the elegant look of this oil filler.
The original oil filler cap must be removed with the appropriate tools (listed in the options tab), after which the new oil filler cap can be easily screwed into the alternator bracket. A job that will give your oil filler cap a totally different look in just a few minutes.
This oil filler cap has the same outlet as the original one for crankcase ventilation but it lacks the oil drain hose that was used in the old engines, which always caused a greasy underside. The oil filler cap is screwed on the filler piece instead of the original bayonet fitting, which is also considered by many as an additional advantage
You can choose between a straight oil filler neck in different colours or a 45 degree version which is only available in polished aluminium. The 45-degree filler neck makes filling the oil even easier than on the straight model, because the filler neck is horizontal due to its inclined position. Oil spillage, which could occur with the straight model, is much less important.
