If the engine is tuned, it is advisable to also change the suspension silentblocks, the original silentblocks are much too soft, which means that the engine shakes quickly during acceleration or gear shifting. It can even have such an impact that the car spontaneously jumps out of its speed.
With these aluminum-reinforced urethane rubbers, this will no longer happen, they are the best urethane rubbers available, they are virtually indestructible.
After assembly, you immediately notice that the engine vibrations are much better transmitted to the chassis than before, resulting in a compromise on comfort. But let's face it, comfort and sporty driving don't go hand in hand, that's the choice you make. There may still be a middle way by replacing the rear rubbers and leaving the original rubbers at the front.
For Volkswagen Beetles and Karmann Ghia's from 8.1972 to 12.1985, it is not possible to mount the front rubber, but there is an alternative in urethane, it is the so-called conversion adapter which is mentioned under the alternatives tab. The rear rubbers can only be fitted for these years if the gearbox suspension bracket is also replaced by the model up to 7.1972 (see under the options tab). If you have a Split Bus, you can only replace the rear rubbers, the front rubber must remain original, there is no reinforced urethane slientboc available for this.
