Whistling noise while driving indicates that the wheel bearings are worn. No particular phenomenon, it will happen to everyone sooner or later. In many cases, you have not even noticed it yet and you will be pointed out during the annual technical inspection of the car.
You can purchase all bearings, retaining rings and seals separately, but it is advisable to take a set for this, then you are assured of having the right parts and can finish the job immediately.
All sets are delivered without the grease, order this supplement (listed in the options tab). If you have grease, be sure not to use molybdenum grease, but only wheel bearing grease or universal lithium grease. Molybdenum grease is only suitable for heavy loads such as homokinets, spindle bearings and steering knuckles.
The rear wheel bearing sets for the Volkswagen Split Bus and VW Thing also include bearings, seals and reduction gearbox covers, which is why these sets are much more complete than those for all other Volkswagens.
Note: Sets cover a number of years of construction, so you may not be able to use all the parts in a set, and sometimes they are double in a set.
