The oil sump of the VW Vanagon with engine is made of solid aluminium, a material that is more resistant to corrosion than iron. But an aluminium oil sump also has its disadvantages: if you hit an obstacle, there's a good chance it will tear, whereas with metal it would only make a dent.
The oil sump of our VW Vanagon has been developed exclusively for this car, you will not find a similar model with any other type of car of the Volkswagen family. If you were previously looking for a used engine where you could dismantle the oil sump and hope it was still intact, you can now buy a completely new engine sump.
The oil sump is identical to the original and is fitted with locking bolts.
Don't forget to order a seal (see options tab).
