So-called semi-round bumpers do not have welded brackets to be mounted directly on the bumper support. Volkswagen has chosen to design separate brackets for this purpose, which are fastened between the bumper and the bumper support using the bumper bolts. Without these brackets, you cannot properly mount the bumper to the bumper bracket.
The same applies to the Karmann Ghia, but in this case, the spacers are not only clamped, but also secured with the bumper rosette, where applicable.
For VW Beetle models, you can choose between two versions: the standard black powder-coated version and the stainless steel version. The stainless steel version is ideal in combination with stainless steel bumper brackets and stainless steel bumpers, where rust is a thing of the past.
For the Karmann Ghia, these are only available in a galvanized version.
