There are hardly any Volkswagen Buses left whose underside does not need to be replaced. In many cases, the misery is hidden by a layer of coating that won't stand the screwdriver puncture test.
This outer sill replaces the original plate, so you don't have to weld anything to each other. You have to grind the original plate, then drill out the spot welds, leaving the surrounding plate intact.
These are available in two types: the free sill that replaces the original without a seam and the same sill, but with 19 cm of side panel welded to it. This side panel is also identical to the original, so that the weld seam can be hidden in the existing pressed edge.
