If your engine is equipped with Weber, EMPI or Dellorto carburetors, a wide range of air filters is available. Most air filters have a chrome top, for the Weber IDF, EMPI HPMX or the Dellorto DRLA you even have the choice of an aluminium air filter (Billet Style) which stands out from all others in terms of appearance and is therefore only for the perfectionists among us.
All air filters are supplied complete with filter element, gaskets and mounting hardware, with the filter element, gasket and housing venting connection for some models also available separately as a spare part.
The filters used are of very high quality, tests have shown that they are not inferior to the "big brands" such as K&N. It is important that the filter is supplied with air filter oil to ensure maximum filtration, always add this extra (see Options tab).
It is recommended to carefully clean the filter every 5,000 km with an air filter cleaner and then reapply oil. In case of extreme dirt or damage, the filter element must be replaced; if no replacement filter element is available, you will have to order a completely new air filter.
In an open engine compartment, such as that of the Baja Buggy and VW Beetle in off-road, it is advisable to fit the filter with a pre-filter. A pre-filter stops the worst dirt, to preserve the life of your filter element (see the options tab). If you don't know exactly which carburetor is mounted on your engine, look at the pictures, they also show the underside of the air filter that corresponds to the top of the carburetor for which it is intended.
