The part where the door or hood lock is inserted is called the striker plate. After years of use, the metal wears out and it becomes clearly visible, until the striker plate can no longer hold the door or cover, so it is high time to replace the striker plate.
Some locks also have a vulcanized metal part that prevents the flap or door from vibrating while driving and guides the door or door in the correct position to the locking pin. If only the vulcanized part is worn, some striker plates can be replaced separately, if available, the order number can be found under the Replacement Parts tab.
