Nothing should be left to chance during an overhaul, every part should be professionally examined before being replaced. It's not much different with the valve spring retainers, check for hairline cracks and bending. If in doubt, replace them. Prevention is better than cure, especially for cylinder heads. A loose valve can cause a lot of damage. For every type of overhaul and adjustment we have the right valve spring retainers, take a look at all the cups and make the right choice.
Standard valve spring retainers:
These are identical to the originals and are only suitable for standard or reinforced valve springs.
Valve spring retainers in chrome molybdenum:
By far the most commonly used valve spring retainer. They are made of chrome molybdenum and are suitable for standard, single and double reinforced valve springs. They are a little heavier than the original, but due to the choice of materials they are virtually non-deformable.
Titanium valve spring retainers:
These are the valve spring retainers for the serious tuner. If you are not happy with the higher weight of chrome-moly, titanium is the right choice. Titanium is a very strong material that, in this case, can handle any valve spring pressure and, because of its low weight, is perfect for any type of tuning. Suitable for standard valve springs, as well as single and double reinforced valve springs.
In addition to the valve spring retainers, you will undoubtedly need valves, valve springs and valve lifters, which can be found in the options and related parts tabs.
