Our Volkswagens are full of screws, bolts, nuts and washers that are not all made for a particular model, but are used universally. These parts can be recognised by the part number starting with "N" for Normteile or standard parts.
Now you would think that these standard parts can be found at every hardware store, but Volkswagen didn't make it that easy. Although they are standard parts produced in mass quantities for various applications, most of them are not common and therefore not to be found on the shelves of every DIY store.
The sheet metal screws listed here have a countersunk head with saw cut and are made of stainless steel. If you want the screw head to look like chrome, you can polish it to a high gloss. The size: 4.8 x 19 mm.
