2014: This year Paruzzi did not give a christmas gift to the employees, but the entire budget was donated to the "Help-SWI-Shaoguan" foundation, a children's home in Shaoguan (China).
The population in China is growing by 20 million births per year. Because this much is too fast, the Chinese government introduced a "one-child" policy to limit the number of births. The result is that 6% of these children is abandoned; mostly girls and disabled children. Most children grow up in homes that have to survive without or with very minimal state support. We want to give these children a chance to develop and later do not end up on the street.
When choosing which charity to give to, the actual percentage that ends with the neady played a major role. Foundation "Help SWI Shaoguan" is small, allowing 92% of the money raised actually used for the benefit of these kids. The christmas gift budget of € 1500,- was handed over to the initiators (adoptive parents of children from China) on december 12th 2014.
