#64 Engine replacing the sump plate studs

Replacement studs are now sup-

plied as standard with an Allen original VW

key head to make adjusting the

depth in the crankcase easier. We
have explained this in edition 21.

If you are ready to replace your

studs, we recommend this Allen

key version. These are very hard,
if you tighten the nuts too hard,

the nuts will break sooner than

the studs. The long stud is longer
than the original stud, namely

35.00 mm instead of 32.20 mm. with Allen

original VW= 32,20 mm

with Allen= 35,50 mm
