Vevaxelväxeln som driver kamaxeln är fäst på vevaxeln och låses med en nyckel (se fliken optioner). Om tänderna är skadade eller har skadats vid demontering måste du byta ut den, annars kan du stöta på problem senare.
De två prickarna på kugghjulet anger kamaxelns kugghjulstiming, det finns även ett märke på detta kugghjul som måste vara mellan de två prickarna på vevaxelns kugghjul för att timingen skall bli korrekt.
För att ta bort denna växel finns det ett praktiskt verktyg som tar bort växeln från vevaxeln utan att skada den (se fliken alternativ). Det är en kostnad, men då kan du vara säker på att jobbet går smidigt.
