These seals are located around the push rod tubes on the crankcase side and cylinder head side. They often cause leakage problems as the engine ages, which is caused by dehydration.
If you prefer not to disassemble the cylinder heads, take the adjustable push rod tubes (see Related parts tab) which are available for all engines except the type 4, the adjustable push rod tubes can be removed without removing the cylinder head.
For type 1 and type 3 engines, the seals are the same on the cylinder head and crankcase side (if the standard push rod tubes are used) whereas for all other engines this is not the case, this must be taken into account when ordering.
If you want to be permanently protected from the symptoms of dehydration, the most common model is also available in silicone version, which not only resists dehydration, but also guarantees better sealing. If it is available for your engine, it is listed under the Alternatives tab.
