With the exception of the VW Thing and the Karmann Ghia, all classic Volkswagens are equipped with vent wings, although this is an additional accessory / option for the Bay Window Bus and the Vanagon.
The vent wings are not used to bring in fresh air, but the opposite: when opening, the warm air is drawn out of the car without annoying noise.
The lock is locked by turning the lock on the vertical support, it can wear out due to years of use and replacement is the only option.
The locking device, or lock, is slid into the windshield frame and riveted in place with rivets. To replace it, the rivets must be drilled so that the bolt can be pushed out of the frame.
Mounting is done in reverse order using new or pop rivets (see options tab).
