Extra oil sump
An extra oil sump increases the oil capacity, so that there is always enough oil available for long turns and fast acceleration (so that the oil pump does not suck in air). At the same time, the extra oil added ensures better cooling. This cooling is further increased by mounting the housing under the existing housing in the middle of the engine wind. The result is immediately noticeable if you have an oil temperature gauge on board, it will show a lower number of degrees than before. Due to the increased oil quantity, the oil will also remain in good condition longer, which does not mean that you can extend the change intervals. A total of three different housings are available, see the "alternatives" tab.
3.3 litre oil sump
This is the largest oil sump. The dimensions are not too large, but if your VW is extremely low, this can be an obstacle. Make sure that the engine is not too low before ordering. The dimensions are 390 x 245 mm at a height of 85 mm. The additional sump is mounted on the bottom of the existing sump, where the oil sump cover moves towards the underside of this additional sump. To bridge the length, the oil suction hose must be extended with one of the supplied extension tubes. As Volkswagen has had several diameters of suction tubes, there are also different diameters of extension tubes included, so there are always a few left that you don't use.
Delivered with mounting hardware and seals for mounting between the existing crankcase and this new crankcase and the crankcase sump plate. The sump plate and oil screen are not included in the set; if necessary, add them if necessary (see tab "Options").
