The license plate is not a beauty in itself. But unfortunately, it is mandatory worldwide that your car has a clear and legible identification code on it, whether we like it or not.
With this chrome license plate holder, you can turn a boring license plate into a showpiece where you don't have to drill through the license plate, as the attachment to your car is behind your license plate.
The largest license plates are the so-called GAIK license plates, GAIK meaning : Controlled issue and collection of license plates. These number plates are standardised throughout Europe and can be recognised by a blue section bearing the EU sign and the code of the country where the car is registered.
In order to comply with all European directives, these license plate holders are manufactured with great precision, exactly to the dimensions of the license plate.
Mounting: The edge consists of two parts, unscrew the screws in the connectors from the top and slide them out of the connectors. Loosen the other screws as far as possible so that the number plate is not obstructed when retracting. Slide the number plate into the lower part (where the screws are still fitted) followed by the top. Check if the screw holes are perfectly aligned, if this is the case, you can tighten and tighten the screws. If the holes don't match 100%, there are burrs or other irregularities at the edge of your license plate that prevent the license plate from sliding far enough. Do not use force but file the irregularities and/or burrs of the license plate edges and you will see that the screw holes do match.
Caution ! Measure your license plate before ordering, there have been several sizes over the years, only the largest sizes are standardized in Europe.
