The ventilation of the standard engine crankcase is filtered by the air filter, which will also be the case with many sports air filters. This works perfectly with an engine that has not been changed, but if the engine has more power or if your sports filter does not have a crankcase connection, then you will have to proceed differently.
By filtering the crankcase ventilation with this separate air filter, the intake air is filtered better than it would be through the air filter. You are no longer location dependent, you can place it directly on the crankcase ventilation on the oil filler or on another location where the crankcase ventilation will take place.
With this filter, the connection is not in the middle, which is the case with most universal filters, but at most at the outer edge. This makes it possible to connect the filter with an original Type 1 engine to the existing outlet on the oil filler (provided the specified connection diameter corresponds), which would not be possible if the connection was in the middle.
Note: It is important that the filter is supplied with air filter oil to ensure maximum filtration, always order this oil in addition. It is also recommended to clean the filter every 5000 km with an air filter cleaner and fill it with air filter oil. Both oil and air filter cleaner are listed in the options tab
