For perfect oil cooling, the best solution is to use an external oil cooler at the same time as the original radiator in the fan shroud. This adapter is mounted between the original oil cooler and the crankcase and has an additional outlet and inlet for the external oil cooler. This adapter for double oil cooler can only be fitted when the original oil cooler is still in the fan shroud (as for single intake engines up to 7/1970 ). A small adjustment of the fan shroud is necessary to make room for the oil outlets. If you still want to mount it on an engine after 8/1970, you can't use the gaskets supplied between the crankcase and the adapter, take the gasket mentioned under the tab "options" and use a fan shroud intended for a single intake engine, see tab "options".
If you are going to use this adapter for a type 1 engine after 8/1970, replace the supplied gaskets that are mounted between the crankcase and the adapter with the gasket that is shown under the "options" tab. If you ignore that, it will leak. You must also use a fan shroud with oil cooler inside, these are available in different versions, see tab "options".
Supplied with 45º oil hose connections.
