Many people install an electric fuel pump in the engine compartment and often mount it on the engine, a logical choice but not the safest place. It's best to mount it away from the engine compartment and elsewhere, so that in the unlikely event of a leak, the risk of fire is minimized.
The installation is then carried out on the chassis or bodywork with the disadvantage of transmitting vibrations that can be felt and heard even in the passenger compartment.
By mounting the fuel pump with vibration dampers, you get rid of this problem once and for all, so it is advisable to order them directly.
Note: Mount the fuel pump in a place where there is room to fix it with an M6 nut (nuts and/or washers are not supplied).
