Rust problems at the frame head of the chassis usually start at the bottom, where the cause is often a leak in the master cylinder. Brake fluid is very aggressive and results in rust. Therefore, spilled brake fluid should be cleaned up thoroughly immediately to prevent damage later.
This lower plate replaces the original one, it is not made to cover the rusted part. If the damage is greater than expected, the complete chassis head is also listed under the related parts tab.
Attention: The undersides of Volkswagen Beetle 1200, 1300 and 1500, Karmann Ghia and VW Thing after 1965 are not equipped with brake hose holders, transfer them from your old sheet metal. Until 1965, they were mounted in series. This does not apply to the VW 1302 and 1303 Beetles
