These 10.4mm thick Spiro Pro "409" Race high performance spark plug cables are the best choice you can make, the superlative in spark plug cable technology.
Whether you have a standard engine or a performance engine in the rear, these rugged cables will power all the spark plugs without any loss of power. Ignition problems can have many causes. With these ignition wire sets you can be sure that the cause is not in your ignition cables.
The ignition cables can withstand heat up to 315 °C, which is ideal for engines with exhaust fumes close to the ignition cables, as is often the case in Baja and Buggys.
The Spiro Pro "409" owes its name to its steel "Spiral Core". This type of core has a much lower resistance than carbon cables (about 1.5k ohms per meter for the spiral and about 15k ohms for the carbon cables). These Spiral Core cables use induction rather than resistance to suppress RFI (radio surpressed interference). The result is a hotter spark and less voltage.
The Spiral Core is protected by a fiberglass sleeve surrounded by a silicone outer jacket for maximum flexibility and temperature resistance.
Ignition wire sets are supplied as a kit, including cable caps and protective caps on the distributor cap.
The ignition coil cable is 81 cm long and must be brought to the desired length, so it does not depend on where the ignition coil is mounted. It is recommended that you use a spark plug crimping tool to properly secure the connection socket to the ignition cable.
Notes :
Never pull on the cable itself, but pull on the cable heads. Especially with silicone cables you can easily pull the cable from the head, which makes the cable unusable.
These ignition cables do not fit in the standard clamps of the fanshroud of your VW, they are much thicker than the original. It is recommended to use cable ties to connect them in an orderly manner to the spark plugs.
