This throttle model was standard in the 50's on the Volkswagen Beetle, the idea for this new version was copied from the original throttle. This renewed version plays a much more important role, designed to allow precise dosage of the accelerator. The roller pedal replaces the small roller on which the accelerator board rolls, so the old accelerator pedal is also removed. You have to get used to it, but after a while you don't want to change. This way of accelerating is much more direct, which makes the engine feel much better. The pedal stem is chrome plated, while the roller is available in black plastic or aluminium. The latter not only looks much stronger, it also makes the interior look much more attractive, especially if you've incorporated several aluminum accents inside.
Caution : For older years of construction, you must use a gas cable from a later year of construction (with a hook connection instead of an eye connection). Take the extra long universal throttle cable, which can be shortened to the correct length (see options). For cars with left and right hand drive to use (you have to turn the roller for cars with right hand drive).
