Brake hoses always connect a moving part, which is not possible with a metal tube.
It goes without saying that the connection between the fixed and flexible pipes must be firmly fixed. This is done with spring steel clamps (retainers or jumpers), which can lose their spring capacity over time due to the effects of corrosion.
When replacing a brake hose, it is advisable to check the condition of the retainers and replace them if they have been damaged by corrosion, only then can you be sure of a perfect installation.
